I have always loved to cook. My mother and Grandmother taught me that a kitchen is a magical place where simple ingredients are transformed into mouth-watering delights.
My father gave me a love for all that grows wild and free. As a child, I spent many holidays in the Northern Italian mountains, fishing for trouts and yabbies in the rivers, collecting mushrooms, berries, and chestnuts in the forest, and even collecting snails.
Food was like a beacon around which my family would appear, drawn as if by magic by the fragrance, beauty, and abundance of the offering laid out across the large kitchen table. These seemingly impromptu and delicious meals left a deep impression on me and were the inspiration for La Cucina di Manuela.
My cooking classes are my way of sharing with you the best of that indelible experience.
Buon Appetito, Manuela
